The Garden
E F HOME & CO
Take heart...
these little foxgloves we found
on the edge of the meadow in
late December.
Seed had apparently made it's
way many yards from the
gardens of their parent. They
were nearly buried by the tall
grasses around them. We had
to fold back the grasses to be
sure that they were foxglove.
In late Spring or early Summer
; if left where they are, they
will send forth a spire of
blossoms that will fulfill the
promises that they made in
the depths of winter. They will
contribute their voice to the
anthem of life around them,
thereby lending it greater
beauty still.
